I would have to say Switzerland. It was mindbogglingly gorgeous, to say the absolute, very least. :D The hills were a lovely green hue which dazzled the eyes with its perfection. The mountains are large and majestic...the beauty of it is genuinely amazing. You have not lived until you have visited it! I stayed in a chalet with my family and siblings, have you ever done that? :) As we ate our breakfast, lunch, and dinner we could gaze out of the window and behold all of the glorious splendor. Believe me, it was like nothing else I have ever seen! All of the houses are so picturesque, or at least they were in the town I visited, Adelboden. There was interesting carving on the wood of every home. You could easily detect the families living in these homes had rich history. It was all tremendously intriguing and if I am ever given the opportunity to return, I will most definitely take it as soon as possible with no further hesitation whatsoever! Believe me...that is the truth, pure and simple! I can't believe I didn't want to go at first. It was a life-changing experience.

Ashland Oregon - high 84, low about 30, ocean not far west, skiing not far east, rivers to run. Especially when visiting from Dallas at time it was 112 for a high. Shakespeare festival.
Not cool: almost no housing and that expensive, 18-20% unemployment.

Piha New Zealand. It's a surf spot on the North Island of the country and it was really cool. It was so quiet even if it's a popular place in the country, the waves were great, the sun was shining, my partner's family and I took a picnic and we just had food on the beach it was amazing!

Scuba diving on the Great Barrier Reef in Australia.

Why: because it is SO beautiful.
The fish and coral have fantastic colors.
The sea life has exotic, hypnotic motions.
Being able to breathe underwater in their world is an escape like no other.

I didn't want to return to land after being there for a week, but alas I was just a tourist/visitor having to return to land.

The Smokey Mts. NC..............It was so beautiful and peaceful and we rode horses up the Mt. and then we sat by a rushing stream and had a picnic on a warm 72 degree day with the music and a few cold beers. Then we went back to our log cabin in Murphy NC and cooked out on the grill and had a bon-fire. The best day of my life........

Maldives (Nakatchafusi)

No televison, no radio, just sun, sea and plam trees and very, very few people.

At 4 every afternoon a shoal of Manta Rays would come up to the beach to be stroked.

Never forget it.
