I was a little girl and I think I just liked all the colors and rainbow on Jeff car and my grandpa liked Jeff Gordon.
Then I got a little older and realized hes pretty much one of the best drivers ever!!

You are a true "rainbow warrior" then? (no offense intended). I was a die hard Dale Earnhardt fan, but when Jr. started racing, I got interested in him because he was racing his dad. I've been hooked ever since. It doesn't really matter what car# or sponsor or color car he drives. I will miss watching the red #8 on the track, but I remain loyal to Jr., no matter what #, color or sponsor he carries.

Back in '95 my hubby(now my ex) was watching the Daytona 500. I asked him how he could stand to watch something so boring as racing. He told me that if I would pick a driver & follow that driver all season I would be hooked. I told him that the next person that was shown on tv being interviewed would be who I would follow, as it turns out Jeff Gordon was that next person & he went on to win his first Championship. I have been hooked ever since. Love his number, it fits him. Plus 24 has been my favorite # for years! I liked the rainbow car but love the flames car even better!

I love this question!

I was watching a race with my step dad early last year, I had always been into NASCAR but never really had a favorite. So my step dad asked me who I thought was going to win. A few laps later, I said I think Kasey Kahne is going to win. This was early in the race of the Samsung/RadioShack 500. We watched the race, (he thought Jeff Gordon was going to win) I was never that into a race before in my life, well Kasey won. And ever since then I watch every single race and I cant get enough of nascar. I'm practically obsessed. And I had also never seen Kasey until his post race interview that day. So I'm proud to be able to say that I didnt pick my favorite based on his looks, but instead how he drives.

I chose Tony Stewart back in '99 when he first came to Nascar. He had quite the resume, and is able to back it up on the track. Ever since he pulled off the dual race, Indy 500 and then Nascar race, in one day, He's been The Man. Let's see Gordon do that.

I chose my guys by random. I just looked for a car that i could find easily when i was a kid and i stuck with it. So far it has worked well for my kids too. My 5 yr old is a Kyle Busch fan because of Tony the tiger and she never misses a race or looses her driver on the track.

I don't really remember how I started liking NASCAR and Jeff Gordon. I think it was when I was watching a race on TV and Jeff won the race or I saw him on the TV and just started to like him.

Well I was a Richard Petty fan since I was 4 and my Dad took me to the races. When he retired in 92 at Atlanta it was Jeff Gordon's first cup race and I saw him in Busch and thought he was cool so I started pulling for him then !

I really dont remember as when he first started racing I wasn't a fan of the sport, not until I was older and realized that it was an amazing sport, and I like the car, and I watched my first race, and I liked his car, because it was colorful, and I am all about colorful things like tye-dye and raindbows, and then it was one of my favorite numbers on it, and I think he ended up winning the race, but as for what race I don't remember. From that day on, I was a Jeff Gordon fan. Go #24!!!!

I liked Tony Stewart for many reasons. I did like his car number (it's my lucky number) and I like the orange Home Depot paint scheme on his car. I liked his excellent pit team that oftens wins challenges. I liked his amazing crew chief, Zippy, and how he's always calm and giving good advice to Tony.

And more than anything....I adore Tony himself. He has a strong, aggressive personality that is half honestly half all-around badboy. I love his fire and passion for the sport. I like how he has humble roots, and is a good guy who cares about animals, etc. Plus, he's a winner! A two-time champion! Woooo!

I choose my driver was after watching a couple of races. I choose Tony Stewart because he is always in front fighting for the win, I know it may not be the way everybody does it but who wants a driver that is so bad that he never appears on TV. You know that if their not in the front you can go several races without hearing anything about them.

I picked Carl as my favorite driver, because I was impressed with his first win at Atlanta in 2005 when he beat Jimmie Johnson. I thought Jimmie was going to win that one.
