Christians believe they go to heaven, Buddhists believe they are reincarnated. The fact is, when all of the electro-chemical activity in the brain stops, we die. We're just very fortunate primates.

Gather ye roses then, today.

Do you all think that we were all to be born some day, go through at least 12 years of school, then go to work or continue on to more school, work hard till we are 65 years old and then retire for a few years and die and exist no more?

"...I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?" - the words of Jesus as stated in John 11:25-26

"And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.

And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. - Revelation 20:12-15

According to the Ancient Vedas it really depends on ones consciousness at the time of death where someone goes. An atheist generally will take an animal birth in their next life. But if they did a lot of welfare work, they could take birth in the subterranean hellish planets. They are planets just below the earth planet where people go who don't believe in God, but did lots of good deeds. Those planets have all the opulence of the material heavenly planets, with out any conception of God there or any conception of death either. Though they do die and again they will come to the earth planet to get another try at surrendering to God. We all get unlimited tries to come to God. No one goes to hell eternally. for info on all of this read Bhagavad Gita as it is By Bhaktivedanta Prabhupada- tells all- go to asitis.com you can read it on line.

People, religions, opinions, popular polls do not decide eternity. Only The One and Only True God has the authority over man and the universe to decide where we go after we die. And God has told us in His infallible Word, the Bible that we will go to heaven or hell when we die, period. Only 2 places, no matter what the different religions claim. Read God's Word!!

The bodies of Atheists rot in the ground, provided that they are buried. The real shocker is that heaven doesn't really exist and Christians and Buddhists rot too.

Normally, into the ground. There we rot. There is no afterlife or soul that will spend eternity somewhere.

Personally, I want to go out in a Viking warrior funeral pyre.

In the ground, most likely, or whatever other traditions their family may subject their bodies to.

I myself, hopefully, will be buried in the ground, not embalmed, and left to provide fertilizer for the nearby trees and grass.
