Sorry I know that you will hate this answer but becaue we are no longer under the Old Covenant and therefore under the law there is not a set of rules that we must follow. There is no set answer on how you can be a good Christian all you can do is continue to be sanctified (process of being made more like Christ) to be more like Christ. Love God with all your heart and then love people.

Remember we are not saved by what we do or say but by Gods Grace alone. That is why Jesus died for us, so we can have a relationship with the living God. There is nothing more we can do to be acceptable to God as the price has already been paid for our sin of ignoring God, our creator who gave us life. Through Jesus death we now have the free gift of eternal life. God loves everyone (no matter who you are or what you have done in life) and wants us all to be with him in heaven when we die. All we have to do is believe.
To live as a Christian?
Love God with all your heart, mind and soul. Love your neighbour as yourself.
If you do nothing else, read the Bible - especially the accounts of Jesus life and what he said about how to live. The New Testament books have much to say about Christian living.
Be kind, compassionate, show hospitality, be generous and patient. Forgive others as you expect God to forgive you.
Talk to God as if he is a friend who you share your life with, tell your deepest secrets and fears. He is always ready to listen and it's cheaper than a mobile phone call. Pray at all times - in the car, in the shower, at work, when happy or sad.
Find a church and get involved. Join a Bible Study group. Talk to older Christians about their faith journey.
There is not a set of rules to follow that can make you 'the best Christian', as Christian faith deepens over time by developing a relationship with God through prayer and reading the Bible.
Being a Christian is not an outward display of clothes or conduct or activities. It is the heart and mind that counts.
Smile - God loves you.

Clothes aren't important, it's the life style that is. If you've really got love and peace in your heart people will know it just by being around you. I don't spend anytime reading my bible, but I try to be tolerant and understanding of other people in this life. I do what needs to get done around the church. I don't like the term "evangelism" and instead just live my life to the best of my abilities. For your neighbor and your enemy - love them. Tolerance is the best thing to do to be the best Christian.

The mark of a true Christian is love for others and obedience to God’s Word (1 John 2:4; 1 John 2:10).

the best christian possible as nothing to do with what you wear. bible and prayer time, theres no limit or a time frame on that. you do it cause you want to know more, and get a closer relationship with your saviour. me for instance im constantly praying and reading, (ive kinda slacked on reading i dont do it quite as much ) but everyone is different. volunteering and evangelizing is great but dont do it where you yourself isnt getting fed. neighbor and enemy you have to see when that time comes, no one can tell you what to do. your personal and public life should be the same, dont fake something cause you out in public. being your best is loving God, showing God that you love him, your still in flesh so its gonna be hard to not mess up, but you can give it your best and when you do fall remember he forgives and will lift you right back up.

Sounds like you are on fire for the Lord. The Bible tells us to love the Lord our God with all our heart, sould and mind and the second greatest commandment is to love our neighbors as ourselves. To be the best Christian..spend time with the Lord. It's the relationship that He wants most.

You still don't get it, do you?
Mark 12
28 One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him, "Of all the commandments, which is the most important?"
29 "The most important one," answered Jesus, "is this: 'Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one.[e] 30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.'[f] 31 The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'[g]There is no commandment greater than these."
32 "Well said, teacher," the man replied. "You are right in saying that God is one and there is no other but him. 33 To love him with all your heart, with all your understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices."
34 When Jesus saw that he had answered wisely, he said to him, "You are not far from the kingdom of God." And from then on no one dared ask him any more questions.
If you cannot understand this, you cannot be what you ask.

obey christ teachings but don't put yourself up on a holyier than thou attitude.yes your a christian but not perfect you will sin and slip up from time to time.satan knows your weak areas he will go after these.you see a christian isn't perfect just forgiven.a good moral compass to go by is.if you wake up one morning and think about a sin your going to do later that day your in big trouble.example;later on today i'm going to meet this married women and get a room.this is planning a sin in advance.but if you happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, with out planning it.it is still sin but you were caught at a weak moment.a christian trips into sin,but a nonbeliever or false christian will dive into sin.one is deliberate the other is accidental.
