Generally a bad idea. Maturity levels are usually very different, and people are for the most part just in different places in their lives. And also, getting physical can be a problem because of various laws, which vary according to which state you're in.

That 17 year old must be really desperate no offense but he should date someone his age. I am 16 and I would not date a 14 year old.

I bet the 17 is the boy, right? Anyway, the 14 needs to date someone their own age. It may not be sexual now but sooner or later it will be.

Go for it... its not like it will last till marriage. When I was a freshman in college I was dating a freshman in high school. After him I started dating older men... 18 dating a 30 year old. You live once have fun!

Not going to work. You are setting yourself up for a broken heart. Parents won't like it because of the almost 18 thing and you should be just hanging out with a group of people not just one guy. Wait until your a lot older... college....graduation.... and then two years later.... what I mean is get to know who God wants to make you.

to use the term date is to imply a romantic encounter.... perhaps you should phrase it 14-year old friends with 17-year old of opposite sex.
not a good idea, could turn sexual.

WELL IT WILL TURN SEXUAL WITH THAT 17 YEAR OLD. THATS WHEN THE START DOING IT. SO THE 14 YEAR OLD SHOULD BE CARFUL

Sounds like me and my gf. Im 19, shes 16. As long as he respect you, your opinions, and your parents it should be ok. Just make sure hes not after your tail. Have fun now :)

nothing wrong with it. age aint nothing but a number ya know? if you guys don't see nothing wrong with it thn it's good. just don't think you have to do certain things cause your bf is older then you okay. do what you feel comfortable with. he should understand you're fourteen. so hope i helped.
