Seat belts are acutally just safetly things that are just to make sure that you are safe if there is a problem. I'm sure it only makes you slide a little to the front, but other than that, its if they have like landing problems and the plane like suddenly jerks forward and stuff.

On a rough landing you could get tossed from your seat.

I've seen it happen twice in my millions of miles of air travel. One didn't suffer any serious injuries but the other one had a broken back and broke the neck of the passenger that he landed on.

I've also seen several people thrown against the seatback in front of them during braking after landing.

I HAVE SEEN THIS BEFORE WHILE TRAVELING AND THE PERSON NEXT TO ME DID JUST WHAT YOU DID.

WE HAD A VERY BUMPY LANDING AND HIS HEAD DID HIT HIS KNEE AND HE GOT A BLOODY NOSE AND WAS COMPLAINING ABOUT THIS.

I DID NOT REALLY PAY THAT MUCH ATTENTION TO HIM IN THE BEGINNING BECAUSE TO ME HE WAS NOT BADLY INJURED.

I LATER HAD TO FILL OUT A REPORT CONCERNING THIS ACCIDENT AND WAS LATER INFORMED THAT HE INDEED TRIED TO SUE THE AIRLINES.

AGAIN AS I STATED ABOVE I TOLD THE TRUTH AND SAID THAT HE WAS NOT WEARING HIS SEAT-BELTS AND HIS CASE NEVER MADE IT TO COURT.

FOLLOW THE RULES AND BUCKLE UP.

If the landing is a bit bumpy and consequently you smash your head and get a nose bleed, not only can you not sue the airline for this, the other passengers can sue you for getting your blood and guts all over them.

Lmao, great question!!!! Totally random, but you made my day!

I guess nothing, kinda like a car. If there was turbulence or the plane was crashing, you'd shatter all your bones bouncing around... Hey, maybe you'd end up in first class, haha!

Man, that would suck!

Not much, ---but if there's an accident, the front of your head may end up looking as flat as the back.

The plane would surely crash.

they would get super pissed off, and could probably find a reason to have you arrested.
