How about skipping the middleman and ordering gactory direct from the manufacturese. They only thing you can't buy through the mail without an FFL is a lower reciever. So parts should be no problem as long as they do not include the lower reciever.

Do a search for any of these companies, you will find more parts than you would ever want.
Hell, try eBay too. AR's aren't exactly hard to find vedors/parts for!
You could call them the Chevorlet of the gun world, lots of parts, options and features, all depeding on what you are willing to spend and how far you want to go with your rifle.

Hmmm, why not just get an upper in a brush cartridge for your existing AR? I mean you can get stuff up to .460 Bushmaster if you want a serious thumper or any manner of 30 caliber brush or long range cartridges. In a sense you probably missed the best timing for selling your AR, because during the peak of the media hype about the Democrats the prices on tactical rifles was almost absurd. Not that I don't think AR-10's are cool guns, but I'd rather live with swapping the upper for a bit longer period and save up to build the AR-10 then make due with a a CX4 Storm in the interim. Incidently, it isn't that I don't like pistol caliber carbines, I actually do, as a home defense sort of weapon, but I don't know that I see them as being versatile enough for a "SHTF" sort of gun. Which of course is it's OWN sort of absurdity because if the SHTF, whatever you have is going to be better than nothing, and be well suited for some part of the problem, and not well suited for the other. Don't know of a store in TX. But have you tried magazines like Cheaper than Dirt and Sportsman Guide? They both have AR-15 Accessories for a good price and they both have web sites.

Any good sized gun store should sell AR-15s and accessories.
Cheaper than Dirt has a lot of accessories.
If you're looking at red dot sights, look at EOTech or AimPoint.
