Absolutely not. Some people (specifically women who have "Desperate Housewife" thinking ;) ) would appreciate a younger or middle-aged stud mowing their lawn, gardening or done other yardwork shirtless. I'm sure the only ones who would have a problem with it are elderly men and ladies who spent their whole lives in traditional, God-fearing Christian upbringing, and don't want their eyes soiled *Rolls eyes*
No offense to the traditional God-fearing Christians or elderly on here. ;)

No, I don't think it is disrespectful for a guy to go shirtless. I also don't think that guy need to ask for permission to go shirtless when working under summer heat.

I don't think it's disrespectful. I understand the heat and the discomfort. Go ahead, go shirtless.

I think it would depend on the work he/you are doing.
In shape or not - just kidding.
I wouldn't think it was disrespectful.
Offer the guy some water, maybe he overheats and you don't want them to get heat exhaustion.
However depending on what and where they are working, maybe a tank top.

I wouldn't mind if you go shirtless outside while you are working as long as it is not a safety issue. (welding or using power tools...) But when you come to my door, you should put your shirt back on.

No, it's not disrespectful but some do get offended...perhaps slipping into a tank top would be a good middle ground?

Personally, I wouldn't object, as long as you didn't charge extra. *snerk* sorry, I know you weren't looking for a joke; seriously, I do believe it's ok to take off your shirt while working in the yard when it's hot. If you were working for me, I wouldn't consider it disrespectful.

Depends on what he looks like :-)
Actually if the neighborhood is more upper class, I would think it would be frowned upon then in a middle to lower class area. Those rich folks get uptight about the strangest things.

depends on your client. Rich folks in tony towns usually frown on it, but I'm cool with it even if my gf's there, because it's really hot these days.
