The prophsies of the Messiah from the true prophets of God called for a savior a redeemer. The Messiah is much more than a prophet or he would have simply been called a prophet. Jesus fufilled these prophosies as he said he would.
Isaiah 53 for instance. The tree of life. The manna from heaven... the lamb of God.... the Qu'ran does not agree with the prophets of God but called Jesus the Messiah without the understanding of what it means to be Messiah.

I'll go beyond that! Messiah and Savior also does not mean Word of God, Son of God and Faithful and True!

Here's your little problem. So what?

Messiah means annoited, and Savior mean deliverer, what has anyone lost with that? What's the point?

Immanuel mean God is with us. That wasn't the name of Jesus but the revelation wasn't given then, but later.

Why do these things always have to be negative to you when they declare something so mighty and awesome?

When someone gives you chocolate, do you immediately start crying because it will be gone after you eat it?

Messiah simply means the anointed. Nothing in the Bible (in original language) that Jesus has title that specifically has the same meaning as Saviour. The title Saviour (hence Christ), which is not equal to Messiah, is based on Christian interpretation. I like djmantx descriptions on this view though I never agree with him.

You are your own christ/saviour. Just repent for your sins, do good and avoid evil, for God is Oft-Forgiving and He doesn't need sacrifice.

To Jews messiah does not mean savior. To Xistians it is one of the same, since they are not aware of the difference, and because they believe in the idea of the second coming.

From a Christian standpoint, Jesus is both Messiah and Savior.
These are just two of the titles He possesses.

Messiah and Christ mean the same thing: both of them mean "anointed one". Jesus was anointed by Holy Spirit at the time of his Baptism. Jehovah anointed his son to be the King of his Kingdom. This is the Kingdom that Jesus told us to pray for at Matthew 6:9, 10 in the model prayer. The first thing that Jesus mentioned in that prayer is for the Father in heaven to sanctify his name. Then for his Kingdom to come to earth and do his will here as it is done in heaven. The many problems that we see here on earth do not exist in heaven and it is God's Kingdom, or government, that will solve all the problems on this earth and restore it to a paradise as is God's original purpose for the earth as stated in Genesis. Salvation comes from Jehovah, but Jesus is the means by which God gives us that salvation through the ransom sacrifice which covers the "cost" of the first sin by our forefather, Adam.

(Jude 25) 25 to [the] only God our Savior through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, might and authority for all past eternity. . .

Thus Jesus is called "savior" not because salvation originates with him, but because he is the channel through which God gives us salvation.

Christ is the English term for the Greek word Χριστός (Christós), which means "The Anointed One".

In the semitic languages: Messiah (Hebrew: מָשִׁיחַ, Standard Mašíaḥ Tiberian Māšîªḥ ; Arabic: المسيح, Al-Masiḥe ; Aramaic: משיחא ). For all 3, it means "anointed one" . This root word has been trasnliterated into Messiah in the English.
In Islam, Isa al-Masih (Jesus the Messiah.....peace be upon him) is believed to have been anointed from birth by Alläh.

Messiah does not mean saviour.

Only God can be our saviour. He gives us the way through his guidance but still it is Almighty God who is our saviour. We, as an individual with a soul in the seat of our heart *, need saving from ourself (ego-self). This is through remembering God in every act, thought and intention.

*The heart is the seat of the soul in Islam.

"Those who believe, and whose hearts find satisfaction in the remembrance of Allah: for without doubt in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find satisfaction. " [Quran 13:28]

God is called by many names and has many titles. It is clear, and has always been taught, that they refer to the same man.
