My digital camera doesn't want to work, what could be the problem?

I just bought it about 2 weeks ago, it's Samsung. My husband used it and forgot to turn it off, so the batteries drained...i replaced the batteries and it still says low battery and just turns off as soon as i try to turn it on! WTF?

Try new batteries. You could have gotten some old batteries or batteries which need to be re charged.
