the dr. seemed like it was no big deal gave me the antibiotics, pain meds. and said to keep the would clean and change it 3 times daily which im doin i also squirt a few cc's of peroxide and alcohol in the hole then apply neosporin with a gauze bandage, but is this all you have to do , i mean you dont have to dig out the white dead flesh or does it come out on its own, this is my first bite, im on the antibiotics and keeping it clean please telll me if i need to do more, and i would rather do it than the money hungery doctors of our time, thank you

give this time To heal with the medication. once it is healed the dead flesh will come to the surface and be easy to remove.

I have had a friend that required quite a bit of care in the hospital for a brown recluse. The wound eventually ended up needing plastic surgery. Although many bites don't require any more attention than you are giving your wound, be aware of what to watch for to seek further treatment. Not to scare you, but it is not something to play with.
