I am having a problem playing Diablo 2, When I install the game I can load it up one time and if I close it and try to load it up again I get a message that a critical error occurred with direct3D, my video card suports 640x480 in 16bit and I just downloaded the new version of Directx, I have spent a few days troubleshooting this and I still don't know how to fix it. If anyone has any ideas on how to fix this please let me know.

If you have Diablo 2 installed then

From Start >Programs

find the Diablo 2 folder

bottom entry is Video Test
run it
it will save a Video Config file when done

Also from Directx you can run 3D tests and enable modes
if they are not ON already
If the modes are already ON do not change anything

you access this by Start > Run enter dxdiag

Your best way to get Tech support is to contact Blizzard. They made the game. Go to the Blizzard website and see if you can find tech support there.
