This dog does not respect you or has a health problem. Talk to the vet and consider giving him up to somebody who can train him. Not every dog is right for every family no matter how much love is given.

the nature of a male dog is to lift a leg and let go. you didn't say how old your dog was,or if he is left outdoors often when you are away. If you visit the Humane Society of the United States website you'll find lots of info on potty training. Please neuter your dog. He will be a much happier pet and a better companion animal. He won't be so likely to mark his territory in your home either.

There's a good chance neutering will help curb this behavior, but there's no guarantee. It may have already become a bad habit for the dog, depending on how long he's been allowed to pee in the house. Neutering is a good first step--it's always worked with my males.

Although neutering your dog will reduce some of his "marking" and "territorial" behavior, it will not eliminate his urinating in front of you in the house.

If he looks right at you when he's urninating, he is showing his dominance over you and claiming your house as his territory.

You need to actually house train your dog, and you need to work with a trainer who can teach you how to be a more effective leader for your dog (so he doesn't feel the need to take the leadersip role himself).

The answer is NO it wont stop your dog weeing in the house you need to train him for that, crate training is a really good thing to use if you have a bit of a problam dog, a dog will not go to toilet in there own space.
if you get a crate put the dog in it at night time and when you go out he will learn to hold his toilet and wait for you to get back to let him out in the garden to do his mess...... he will soon learn where the correct place to go if you keep it up!

i have a jack russell and he does this and he has been done, i have narrowed it down to him making a statement, he does it literatly as i walk out the door to go out or as i go upstairs, i have been advised to give him plenty of exersise lots of play but also to make sure that he knows i am the pack leader not him , as this is what he is trying to be, when he does it , we dont say a word or look at him we totally ignor him and just clean mess up this seems to be working for us, i would speak to the vet also there is a good book out and i expect he has a website too called the dog whisperer taught me alot.

Getting your dog nurtured wont do anything with the peeing. It's just so that he wont be able to reproduce. Get your dog house-broken.
If it looked like he's going to do his business, take him outside and wait til he does it. Praise him and give him a treat if he did it outside the house. But if he does it inside, scold him. Do. Not. Punish. The. Dog. They wont understand if you punish it. Discipline it. Tell it, "No" in a stern voice and acknowledge him that it was wrong. But it depends on the dog's age. If it's a older dog, it might be harder.

It probably won't stop him but it's worth a try, the reason he probably keeps doing it is because he can still smell where he has done it before, i was told you should thoroughly wash the area with a solution of washing powder it naturalises the smell.

That is a housetraining issue. Get a crate. Everytime he goes outside, if he doesn't potty, bring him right back to the crate. Then, in 30 minutes, take him back out and try again. If he goes, he gets to stay out in the house, if not, its back to the crate. Soon, he will learn that he MUST go outside.

However, you should still get him neutered. It will reduce his chance of certain cancers, reduce his urge to run and hump, and reduce dominance. It may also make him less likely to mark on things.

Nope.. The only way to get him to stop peeing in the house is to house break him. Good luck! : )
