I started my job 2 weeks at a fast food place at a place called Good Times.
I saw newly hired people got put on the register, so I applied there.
From day 1, I've been working in the kitchen, except one day they trained me on the register and on that's the only day I've worked on the register, which was last week. I haven't been working on the register since, and all the other teenage kids get to.
I HATE working in the kitchen. I am usually in charge of the fries and ice cream. I always burn myself on the fries, today, I got 2 big burns on my arm/hand.
I mess up alot, like dropping the fries, or missing an order on the screen and having to make it late. The manager hates me, she jokes around and is friendly with the rest of the staff but whenever she talks to me, she always is serious, angry, or has a grumpy look on her face. If I ask her to switch my positions, I'll probably get fired (> A <)
I want to quit, but if I do, i'll have a bad reccomendation for my next job

Dude - it is a part time job that you just started. Quit and move on. Don't put it on your next application. No one will care. It is just a part time job. It's not like McDonalds or Wendy's is going to run a CIA background check on you before they hire you :-). Next job interview, make sure you know exactly what your duties will be. Make sure to explain what you do and don't like. Tell them you like interacting with the customers.
FYI - Is there a reason she has you hidden in the back? Do you have a swastika tatooed on your forehead? Or holes in your earlobes the size of donuts? If so, then you will probably encounter the same prejudices at other jobs.

It sounds like you are in a tough spot. You are right, a two week job on your future job history is not good. You could quit and that would be easy. What about proving that you are a hard worker who does not drop fries, miss orders, are get orders done on time? I am sure your manager is a very busy person, and does not have time not to like you. Give her every reason to put you on the register by doing things right. I am a coach and I put the people on the field who can help my team win. It is not about like or dislike but performance. You can do this! You will be stronger for it. Talk to yourself positively.

Find another job anyways. Life is too short to work at a degrading place like this. Don't worry about a recommendation. If you showed up to work on all of your scheduled shifts and was on-time, don't worry.
Quietly give your two weeks notice. Jobs like these are a dime a dozen and employers at similar jobs won't give two thoughts about your current history as long as you weren't fired for theft or some serious offense. Get a loan at a community college to improve your skills or find job training at a better place than in the food industry. You have potential. Find yourself! Good luck.

I'm sure your fellow colleagues at the register have gone through the same path as you now. Everybody starts somewhere. You can't want to fly before you have even started learning to crawl.
You should at least master the basic skills in the kitchen before even stepping out at the register. If I were the manager and sees that you can't even handle some fries and ice-cream, how am I supposed to trust you with real cash?
Stop complaining and strive harder!
Good luck pal!

You need to talk to the manager first. If she won't work with you, quit. Remember, when applying for a new job, you can tell them why you quit, if you have a good reason, they will understand. I have quit a job because I didn't get along with one of the managers, when I talked to my current employer, they understood and gave me a chance anyways, they love me. Plus, it's just fast food, you should be able to work at any fast food place, regardless of previous problems. The turn over in those places are terrible, they are always looking for others.

ride it out and give a two week notice, this way you can look for another job with out burning any bridges, but sometimes you have to do what ya gotta do.
Since you are getting injured make a report for workmans compinsation, this way you can have them pay to look at your injuries.
Well not everybody is good at everthing, I would really try to explain to the manager, owner or boss that your tring to learn this position but your just not getting it, and maybe you would be better in a different position.
yea you run the risk of being fired but a least you made the attempt to solve the problem and I think most bosses would understand that.

In all honesty, Fast Food jobs SUCK. Ask for the rotation to the register, what do you have to loose? A lame fast food job?
If she gives you a bad rec for your application to a better workplace, explain to them how the work life was like and that you had hoped to find a better work environment in wherever you're interviewing for.

You're probably too incompentent to work the register. Lower your standards and get a job as a farm hand. Once you have mastered those skills, work your way to another job.
