Yes it is true, I played one up in the Catskills in upstate, New York a long time ago. I think it was at Kutchers it was like 750 yards par 6. I think I got a 10.

I would think, I have played many par 5's easily over 600 yards. Dub's Dread in Kansas City is noted for long, ask them about par six.

Yes it is true. I have not played a course that has one. I am a subscriber to Golf Magazine and I remember a course that was designed by Davis Love III that had a par 6.

yes ive heard of them its like a par 5-6 you have the choice like if you play from the white tees but instead you played on the black tees for that hole it would be a par six for you

yes there is. there is one course in the Philippines with a Par 6 720 yard hole. Easy bird.

If I remember correctly, Japan 'created' par 6's.
Otherwise, I'm not sure they're certified by the USGA.

Yes. however they are not sanctioned by the USGA. There is one in florida that is 700+yards and also in Japan.
