My family has some pretty unusual b-day traditions, what about you?

We don't celebrate the beginning of a new age, but a great year (like on our last day of being 13 thats when we celebrate...) And thats when we get presents. And on our actual birthday we help out at some organization.

So what do you do?

That's really nice - to help out at organisations. But for my birthdays - lets see - I usually spend it quietly with family and close friends. On special b/days like 6, 10, 13, 16, 18 - those are the years that are celebrated with parties and lots of extra goodies. But presents are a must every year.
Christmas is the time that my family usually help out at organizations.

Since a young child I have always spent my birthdays at the zoo.

It seems the older I get, the quieter my birthday observations become.
