I've noticed the lumps for about a year and I'm worried about thyroid cancer.

It is the thyroid area. Please get it checked out and don't mess with it. I had lumps there too, and it turned out to be Lymphoma. You need to know for your peace of mind.
Best wishes

Go to the doctor. It could be a goiter. The gland in your neck where the parathyroids are imbedded which control your calcium. Somtimes your thyroid gland becomes nodular and they call this a goiter.
The doctor will do a thyroid workup which is a simple blood test to tell you if you are having thyroid problems.
Also, they will ask you questions such as do you have problems breathing or swallowing. If you do, expect to see a surgeon.
Also, thyroid problems are relatively easy to fix, so not to worry.

If it is your thyroid most nodules are not cancerous, but may present a problem anyway so you need to see a doctor.

Nothing is gained by waiting.

Don't be worried, just go for a check up. It could be thyroid nodules or you have swollen glands. See the doctor and put your mind at rest.

Umm, shame on you for waiting so long! If you worry about it that much go it checked out. Sounds like you could have some type of mass growing. Hopefully, it's not..but how else would u know?
