Make sure you cleanse the area really good. and apply a product called periguard. You can also rinse the area with a perineal cleanser to neutrilize the urine and fecal matter.
Good Luck

If you want a really honest opinion then I will give one.
At her next diaper change, change from disposable diapers to cloth diapers and stay there. With cloth diapers, rashes are either greatly reduced or disappear completely.
I raised two kids, one boy and one girl and I cloth diapered both of them and neither one of them ever had a diaper rash that amounted to anything more than a little bit of pink skin and never had a need to use any kind of diaper rash cream.
If you are going to use diapers then cloth is really the best way to go. They are cheaper in the long run than disposables, The extra laundry for one child is not all that much more each week. I would do mine in evening, generally at the most only two loads a week but sometimes just one.
If you switch, I'm sure you and your daughter will be much happier. I know disposables are supposedly more convenient but I would be thinking of my daughter's comfort before I would be looking at my own convenience. Your daughter's comfort and health is more important.
Good luck

It could be yeast, babies do get that sometimes. You can try lotrimin, or get them to your doctor ASAP. Antibiotics are sometimes all that works for a yeast infection. Both boys and girls can get yeast infections as babies. Try using a wet washcloth instead of wipes, remember to wipe a girl from front to back. Make sure she's completely dry before you put the clean diaper on and change it frequently like you have been.

I heard Butt Paste is the BEST!! I would say get some name brand diapers, or change the one you are using and keep changing them every hour like you are. I would call the doctor if she is not getting any better.

Naked time--to allow baby's butt to breathe.
cloth diapers--Also allow baby's butt to breathe; do not contain the irritating chemicals found in disposables.
sun exposure--dries baby's butt and kills bacteria and yeast.
It may be a yeast infection. It's more like jock itch than a vaginal infection if it is. If so, you can feed an older baby yogurt, wash with a vinegar solution and give baby some naked time in the sun.
Regardless, do not use baby wipes or powder. Use plain water washcloths and plain cornstarch. Good luck!

let her air out, put a blanket in the backyard and let her be naked for a while. Try cloth diapers for awhile, they can be easier oin a baby's bum. There's a baby powder called Caldescine (sp?), its great for rashes too. If its ben going on for a while seee the dr, it may be a yeast infection or fungal infection.

My wife and I had the same problem with our daughter. We took her to the doctor and he said to let her air out and gave us some Happy Hiney diaper cream. That stuff worked great!!!

def ask the dr to make sure it's not a yeast infection....my daughter had one once that was AWFUL. until then, here's what i would do having been thru it
1) i use burt's bees....it's all natural, smells great, and stays on REALLY well, even thru pee
2) don't give them ANYTHING acidic ( citrus, tomato, etc)
i don't know how old she is, but just in case she's eating solids or bb food
3)give her yogurt, plain yogurt without sugar is best, i added some unsweetened applesauce or baby food to flavor
4)avoid sugary foods, yeast feeds off of it
5)air out that bum, and keep it clean
good luck, i know how hard this is!
