aw, I'm so glad your feeding him. We have three stray cats around our house and we are going to try and catch them in a humane cat trap you can purchase at a hardware store. You can do that, or call your local animal care and control and see what they say. If you can catch him, try and tame him maybe, clean him up, feed him, even try a bath maybe? If he's calm and tame enough, take him to the vet so he can be fixed up. If he's really friendly, like you said, I think if you take him to a shelter there is a good chance of him finding a loving home. Poor kitty. Best of luck!

It sounds like Chancho got into a nasty fight with a cat, raccoon or dog. get him to an vet in case he fought a raccoon; also clean him good.
feed him with any cat food. he may need urinary health track formula in case he is ill or won't use the litter box or the tree. you can make a food bowl with clay at school when the time comes, until then you can use a bowl that you barely use.
It is very important that you let Chancho know family first.

I can help you further if you give me a picture of the cat. i am an expert with cats. alteraevis@yahoo.com

Stray cats and domicile cats are completely distinctive. Stray cats have not got an proprietor so as that they don't understand greater advantageous. they might content fabric rabies from animals. you don't get effected from a house cat's hair if it is going on your mouth. i've got completed that lots. no longer something got here approximately. in simple terms verify the cat would not have rabies, or has a ailment.

I would call the humane society they treat them really well and really care about the animals the cat will get the proper treatments and they will find a good home for it so that this doesn't happen again. It is really good that you have been feeding her that may have been the thing keeping her alive and make sure that you are giving her water too untill the humane society comes and gets her.

Take him to the vet so the vet can check for diseases or fleas and such, then you may need to spend 10 dollars or so on some food so he can fatten up a little. ^_^ Just print off some papers with your name and phone number and then put some pictures of the Chancho on it. I'm sure people would take him in.
Of course if it was me, I wouldn't really want anyone to call. xD
Have fun with Chancho!

there is not much you can do. you can take him to the vets but that will cost some $$$$$. But if u did bring him in you could keep him as ur own. i had the same problem. i fed a stray tabby, he had ear mites and worms. one of my kind neighbors took him in and paid for the vet bill because they loved him so much. and i get to go and see him every once and a while. Try to find a no-kill animal shelter in your area. They'll take him in and clean him up and find him a home for free or a small donation. I did this the other day with a cat I found, I went to Petco and there was a group of hippies there who took the cat and I just paid $30 to go towards an AIDS test for him.

You should count on spending some money on him to get him checked out at the vet and fixed for any problems he might have, and also to get spayed if he isn't already. You might be looking at about $100 or $200 or maybe even more depending on his condition. I hope you do it, you will have a wonderful friend and he needs you and is happy to give you all the love he can. Good luck.

It is going to be difficult to find him a home if you don't want to spend any money at all. No one is going to want him if he is dirty and hast nasty ears and nose. He may even have fleas. If he likes you, and likes to be touched, I recommend you try luring him into your house and seeing how he is. Gain his trust, and once you have it, I'd suggest giving him a bath to clean him up a bit. He may fight, but you'd rather have a clean cat. Also, while you find him a home, you can see if he is predisposed to peple. He may not be, and therefore, not able to find a new home.

at the grocery store you can buy cat flea shampoo. You can try to give him a bath, and it will also get rid of some of his fleas. Then you can try to find him a home. As for his weight, just keep feeding him and whoever gets him will be okay with it. He'll put on the weight pretty fast!
