Describe this to the Vet and tell the Vet you think your cat has tapeworms. They get it from ingesting fleas. The Vet will likely treat for tapes and do a fecal and/or treat for other types of worms. Also, it would be a good idea to get your Cat on some sort of flea prevention medicine like BioSpot unless your Vet recommends NOT to use that product.
It works good on my dogs, better than Frontline or Advantix did, and it smells decent. They make it for Cats, too.

Some cats are prone to getting worms. My parents had a cat that would get worms every so often. The worms are just intestinal parasites. A vet once told my parents that cats will get worms if they swallow fleas. Anyway, your cat will be fine. When you take him to the vet, they'll probably check to see if they can see any worms (just to find out specifically what kind they are) and then they'll give you a pill to give to the cat. It's a one time dose pill and it should clear the worms up within a few days. Hope this helps.

What you are describing is tapeworms, which pets get from ingesting fleas when they groom themselves. Fleas are the carrier. Medication is over the counter and is called Praziquantel. If you have a relationship with your vet, he should just be able to give you a tablet or two to get rid of them. These worms don't show up in a stool sample the vet runs. We run fecals to look for parasite eggs. Tapeworm eggs are in those little white "worms" you see in the stool--they aren't really worms, but proglottids, or egg sacs, that are released by the tapeworm which lives in the intestinal tract. If your cat goes outside, or it hasn't been checked by a vet recently, a stool check is definitely a good idea, as he could also have other parasites as well.

Your cat, obviously has worms. Alot of animals, not just cats get worms. It's natural, but i would take your cat to the vet ASAP, because once an animal has worms they are supposed to get medicated for them. Don't worry, the vet will give your cat a special medication that will get rid of the worms.

Won't do any good to read up on it - you need to get your cat to a vet, bring one of his stool samles, and have the worm identified.
The vet will give the cat dewormer that will end the problem.
Do it soon, some worms can be very, very harmful, besides being disgusting.

sounds like your cat has tapeworms. the worms look like little grains of rice? take your cat to the vet for meds. don't try over the counter stuff because cats have a very sensitive system and most OTC stuff is harmful or toxic to cats. plus OTC wormers don't cover tapeworms.

Actually, the over-the -counter Hartz cat worming capsules should take care of this, but sounds like your cat needs a good vet visit. And clean up and dispose of her poop in a sealed containers to keep others from getting infected.

you don't need a website, you need to take your cat to the vet, pronto...for about 12 bucks or so they'll administer a wormer...regular vet visits are important for the good health of our cats.
