Both will give you flexibility so i would choose the school you feel the most comfortable in and that you feel is teaching you and you like the most.

Both arts as I said will help you focus on flexibility. Try the different schools in your area and see if there is one that you like in particular. Ask to sit in a class or even try a class. Do not be afraid to ask questions!!

best of luck!!

Both will give you flexibility-especially if it is a good karate school or instructor. Traditional karate by its nature sometimes does not as much though because it stresses low or medium kicks. But, added stretching and flexibility never hurt anyone so even if it is a traditional school I would develop my flexibility, strength, endurance, and ability to the full extent that I could. Many karate instructors realize this and encourage their students to do that to the extent of even being able to throw a high or multiple kicks to the head now and the old traditional attitudes and ideals are slowly being replaced. I would pick the one that most interested me since that would be the one that you would be most likely to stay with and pursue.

I dont know about TKD but i dont think karate schools really focus on flexability that much in class and kind of let you work on that on your own, we do maby one class where we really do some good partner stretching but mostly its just a 10 min warmup before class
