I am planning to buy some property in India and for that I need power of attorney. Can some one give me details of how to get power of attorney from indian consulate Houston. Please provide me all the details step by step. Thanks in advance for the help.

Your question is little confusing. For buying a property in India does not required the buyer's presence to sign on the sale deal. If you are going to sell a property which is belongs to you then either your presence or an authorized person by you with a valid power of attorney is required.

If some one has been awarded power of attorney then yes.
