Developmental pediatrics involves the interdisciplinary diagnostic evaluation and treatment services for infants, children and adolescents who have developmental problems, including ADHD, autism cerebral palsy, fetal alcohol syndrome, mental retardation, multiple birth defects, spina bifida and numerous other conditions.

A pediatric residency is three years after medical school, and a fellowship in developmental medicine is another two years.

Developmental pediatricians work closely with psychologists, psychiatrists, psychometrists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and special education personnel, and many other pediatric specialists.

Average pay - I don't know.
