All you need is your sales receipt for the wheels or copy of the charge on your credit card receipt. Standard OEM Chevrolet aluminum rims don't have serial numbers either. In either event your comprensive insurance will replace the wheels.

The rims when new only have a part # on them and when you buy after market they only have part # on them, Go back where you bought them and get them to wright you a letter saying that you bought them there and most of all Have your receipt, hope this helps, By the way I had my tires and rims stolen when I was young, they were not new I found them on another car called police and he ask for a receipt Did not have one , I was heart broken.

i hate to be the one to tell you, but the serial # is not important at all. the shop prly does not even have a record of the number, many times it is on the sticker on the inside of the rim.

That's so you can prove the rims were yours. Should have written them down.
