Shoudnt the non-protestant church (the true chruch) be more vocal in helping and loving these people.

Christ established one Church with one set of beliefs (Eph. 4:4–5). He did not establish numerous churches with contradictory beliefs.

The bible itself says that it is not the sole source of revelation. It warns against personal interpretation of the bible.

Evangelicals do not have a full revelation of Christ. They have one of 35,000 of their denominations that ALL THINK THEY HAVE THE TRUTH.

Please if you love Jesus, you owe it to yourself to find the truth,a nd it may not be in a school gym being through by an amature at 10:30am sunday morning.

Catholics do not pray to mary they ask her to pray for them.

There is more evidence to support this practice than there is to ask your pastor.

Most Catholic priests have gone through the scriptures enough to cover around 50 years in bible college.

ALL YOU CAN DO IS REFERENCE THE BIBLE BUT WHERE DOES IT SAY THAT IT IS THE ONLY SOURCE.

catholics and mary: see my answer on the question:

How come the fundementaltist go nuts when?

May I add here that this is a typical example of the hypocrisy of the cc?
With one hand they feed the irrational belief in mary and whip the worshippers into hysteria. Go to see the procession in Lourdes and you will understand. Who built the cathedrals for the holy virgin? Who organises the pilgrimages? Who is using the holy virgin as an argument to collect more money from the parish? Correct, the catholic clergy. With their other hand they explain to the critical intellectual: no no, we do not pray to mary, we only ask for an intervention. You think god is a lawyer?

I want to bet with you as well. Maybe we can organise a group tour with 13 atheists and 13 believers who will have to pay the bill if the atheists can prove that catholics "en masse" pray to mary.

Have a mediterranean day!

Bill...

I'm sorry brother, but the "One Church" that the Bible and Jesus and everyone else is speaking of does not have any denomination, does not have man's laws or regulation's, does not have ANYTHING to do with what man perceives as "truth" at all....

The "ONE CHURCH" is the whole body of Christ...from wherever they may be, whatever church they belong to, the ONE CHURCH is made up of ALL of GOD'S children where they are no longer Greek nor Jew nor male nor female....but all are ONE in LOVING and TRUSTING and FOLLOWING GOD.

I was not raised nor taught in a church...nor did I have teachers to teach me the Bible or about God, Jesus, or the Holy Spirit...God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit and the Bible were my ONLY teachers.

I do not have that stigma upon me... and there are many more that learned the same way...without a church, without a Pastor, without anything but the Bible God Jesus and the Holy Spirit...yet we all can compare notes and no matter where we are from, we have the same knowledge and understanding of "truth".

My prayers be with you...

** I MUST add something here....Remember when Jesus was told His Mother and brothers were outside and wished to see Him? He looked around and said that all whom love Him were His mother, brother, sister, etc.,. and DIDN'T say "Why did you keep my mother outside...she is BLESS-ED and my whole church resides on her shoulders!

*** You're right...the Bible ISN'T the "only source"... Without the Holy Spirit we would have had NOTHING...so, I will state here that THE HOLY SPIRIT IS THE SOURCE OF ALL TRUTH. Not a "book" Not a "man" God's Holy Ghost (ie Spirit) IS THE SOURCE...which is in Jesus and ALL Believers as well.

I do not know how the Catholic Church could be more vocal in calling the faithful home to Christ's Church. Certainly God is doing His best to show where the true Church is by constantly and exponentially dividing the pretenders to the Church. Did Christ not pray His last prayer that we all be one? Isn't it reasonable that He desires that we all be a part of the Church that He established as He as the cornerstone and the disciples as the twelve foundation stones. This is the same Church that He called the "bulwark and ground of the truth". It is the same Church that He promised would never fall into apostasy and would endure for all times. It is the Church that from within provides the Sacraments of our Lord as a means of grace so that we may endure in our faith and receive the salvific promise. It is the Church that without which all are lost.

Christ said, " I will be with my Church until the end of time". Should not all the faithful be a part of that Church in the fullness of faith and worship that Christ intended?

In Christ

The True Church? I am a Christian because I believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. The Bible says that that's all I need. We are saved by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. I know the only truth that ever matters. And you have the audacity to say that I'm not a Christian?!? And let me guess, ole Benedict has all the answers? Where does the Bible say I have to go to Purgatory? Where does the Bible say I have to be saved through a priest? Where does the Bible say I have to keep all the sacraments to go to Heaven? It is faith and faith alone. Your corrupt Catholic idealogy is what caused such a breakup in the first place. There is only one Church on earth and that is the Church of Jesus Christ, NOT THE CATHOLIC CHURCH!!!!!

You poor, poor man.
Why are you so dogmatic ,that your version is the right one.
Jesus did His teachings anywhere, the church
were the people who followed Him. Most of these meetings were held outside, A building
is bricks and mortar. It is what is in the hearts
of the people that count, not the trappings.
It was Jesus who said, where more than one
or two are gathered,He would be there also.
He also said to speak in love, and with gentleness. There is no condemnation from
God as long as we believe, and we don't have
to attend a church to validate it. I do go to church,The Church Of England, because I want
to be with like minded people, not because I fear I will be damned if I don't go.
Season your words with a little humility, be a
bit more gracious. And may the Lord Bless you.

It relies upon what you advise, precisely. There are human beings of all religions, and of no faith in any respect, right here. it is not authentic that all and sundry individuals are non secular, hyper-non secular, or of any of the communities (greater like sects than complete religions) you record. save on with the belief of Luther? There are Lutherans in the U. S., notwithstanding it would be going slightly some distance to declare they save on with the innovations of Luther (different than insofar as they are actually not Catholic). Evangelicals are a extremely tiny group. Protestant isn't same -- it somewhat is a a lot larger group (encompassing all Christians who're neither Catholic nor Orthodox). There are Buddhists, and Sikhs, and Muslims, and another group right here. If what you're relatively attempting to ask is in spite of if the U. S. is, frequently, greater non secular than Europe, then, confident. a greater share of our inhabitants have faith in some variety of god; a greater share perceive as belonging to three non secular group. AND we've a small, yet very vocal, phase it somewhat is evangelical, fundamentalist, literalist -- who attempt to coach the U. S. right into a sort of theocracy. maximum individuals face up to this.

You want to play the game of taking scripture out of context? Okay ... I'll play!

Gentiles, protestants OR "non-protestants," as you call them cannot be right with God since the Bible is clear that the Jews are God's chosen people. So, I guess your non-protestant self is going to hell!

Look ... Christ hated religion and loved the church. When you throw out all the crap that defines this religion and that, all Christian churches SHOULD be worshipping the Lord the same way. You want to play some silly confrontational game? Let's take it further. IF Christ established ONE church then that one church is long gone. All these other churches are just copy cats and not Christ's ONE church.

See how easy this is? Wow, I'm well on my way to being a Christian jerk. And you're my mentor.

You sound like a Roman Catholic.
To assume something and then assert it, is No way to prove anything. I plead to You to please show by the Scriptures where Jesus established an "authoritative church."
Would anyone suggest that God only loves Catholics?... or that He only died for Catholics? Such would be the case if the Catholic church was the "one true church."

The church in the New Testament is simply the body of the saved and Jesus Christ is its Head. "...Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body." (Eph. 5:23). The apostles and prophets were servants who revealed by inspiration the will of the Head. "...It has now been revealed by the Spirit to His holy apostles and prophets..." (Eph. 3:5) "...Members of the household of God, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief corner stone..." (Eph. 2:19-20).
"... for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ." 1 Corinthians 10:4

Thus, anyone who obeys the commandments of the Lord as revealed by the apostles and prophets becomes part of the body or household. He then continues in a life of obedience to the Head.
The authority is Not in the body, but in the Head (Eph. 1:22-23; Col. 1:18).
The ruling is not in the kingdom, but in the King (Heb. 7:1-2; Rev. 1:5-6).
The authority is not in the church, but in Christ (Matt. 28:18; 1 Pet. 3:22).
The church is not the Savior, but simply the body of the saved (Acts 2:47; Eph. 5:22-24).

Passages which refer to the apostles and prophets do Not establish authority for the church, and to Pervert them in such a fashion is a very grave evil. (See: 2 Pet. 3:16; Gal. 1:6-9; Matt. 15:9)
Roman Catholics are claiming an authority for the Church that God did Not give it.

(Mark 16:17 KJV) And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
Now here is a starting point. The 5 fold ministry is to edify the body of Christ. The Body of Christ are those that should be doing these things.
Every believer should set their hearts to know the word and the word is in the Bible. Not only to know it but to put it into action in their lives.

St. Paul anticipated the eventual rise of those who would protest and stage a revolt against the beliefs and practices of the only church that Jesus ever founded:

Act 20:28 Take heed to yourselves and to the whole flock, wherein the Holy Ghost hath placed you bishops, to rule the Church of God which he hath purchased with his own blood.
Act 20:29 I know that after my departure ravening wolves will enter in among you, not sparing the flock.
Act 20:30 And of your own selves shall arise men speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.
