it's "phlogiston". sorry. two amphoras of phlogiston per joule of work, i believe.
incidentally, phlogiston was a good scientific theory. it was possible to work out that it had negative mass, so was probably not a real substance. when people started to think in terms of oxygen instead, suddenly things made more sense. demons could never be ruled out in the same way.
