It's bad enough that they shove their beliefs down their children's throats, now they want to force their beliefs on everyone's children. If they don't believe in evolution, they should homeschool their children. I'd like to see what colleges these kids get accepted to.
By the way, these are the same people who cry out against governments that force Islamic laws on their people. Do they not see the irony?

You seriously need to get hold of THE BOOK, 'TWO BIRDS ... ONE STONE!', by Denis Towers.
Following a 9 year study, not only has he made a discovery which basically disproves evolution of the species, and overwhelmingly supports and verifies the Adam and Eve account, but he goes on to show how these findings perfectly marry with science!
In fact, unlike most claimants in both - science and religion, his discovery and proof actually tie and marry Biblical writ and science together.
The premise of his work is that all truth and genuine knowledge should and DO interknit and work together, including that associated with spiritual and natural forces.
His maintenance is that if a thing is to be true, it must also be workable cross-field - thus enhancing other fields, and that ALL truth is circumscribed into one greal whole.

I've known a few hard cores creationists, and trust me, no logical argument will work. I mean, I can have a decent debate with many theists about the existance of god, and while we may not sway each other at least there is some reasoning going on there. Creationist? It doesn't matter what fact you cite, or what source you bring up, or logical process you propose. You are either mistaken, a liar, or they just ignore what you said. It is quite frustrating.
==eDIT==
Jeff C, you are a liar, I thought your god didn't aprove of that? There are numerous fossils that show a clear transition from one species to another. Or are you going to argue that an archaeopteryx is just a weird looking bird? Or that living seals are not a transitional form between land animal and completely sea adapted creature? Or that Merychippus
isn't a transitional form from tiny little bush animal to the horse?
As for that losing information argument, that's a patently absurd argument since it has never been shown that that genome tends to get longer and adds MORE information as complxity increases.

aside from the fact that creationism is unsupported by any physical evidence that is not better accounted for in other systems, there is also the problem that creationism is just as much an ethical theory as it is a physical, scientific one. ethics is at the core of the doctrine of original sin. implicitly assumed is the idea that morality and ethics can directly affect the physical world - there is not really any distinction made between morality and nature. i'm not sure how someone with any understanding of science could believe that creationism is scientific.

Why did all the humans evolve the EXACT same if evolution is determined by survival of the fittest? Kind of funny how all human have all the same body parts after millions of years yet every OTHER animal evolved different from their cousin....
HMMM
Read about the founder of evolution and how he was a racist

We dont have to replace either.
Science provides the HOW life came to be, but religion provides the why life came to be and why we exist.
creationism only states that God created life. if you take the bible literally, there are several facts that we can easily prove wrong, but are explained that way so the ancient believers could understand
remember, ancient isrealites and believers did not understand the earth as we do today. God explained to the writers of the bible in such a way that is was easily understandable to everyone. Also, since Man was created on the 6th "Day" all the stufff that happened before then is anyones guess.
Remember, perception of time was ALOT different, years were not the same as ours, and God just simplified the story by saying 6 days. it could have been thousands of years for all we know, so to discredit creationism on the sole fact of "creation in 7 days is just as arrogant as saying evolution did not contribute. we have no living witnesses to either, so we just do not know.
All we can say is that maybe, just maybe, both are correct and they contribute and build off each other.

You hit the ball right out of the park. The only thing I could add is that all of the blessings of science we enjoy, from anti biotics and modern medicine to the space program and every single electronic machine we use is based on science. How "creationists" can say they reject science yet freely use computers or even cars or refrigerators is a monument to the illogic of the human mind.

Wouldn't it be great if Science could be taught in school as well as mythologies of the religions? If Science (including evolution) would be considered different from mythology (religion) we would be able to believe both evolution which is proved and a spiritual beginning which is personal belief.

Because Creationists are blinded by faith they're impervious to reason. It's unfortunate they insist their children, along with everyone else's, adhere to the same madness.
How can we expect to prosper as a nation by modeling public education around dark age principles and superstition?
-Here's a few transitional fossils for those Creationists who refuse to read up on evolution: Tiktaalik roseae, Ambulocetus natans, Pithecanthropus erectus
I just named 3 and there's millions of Creationists claiming there isn't even 1. Strange?

You need to actually study these things. All of the sciences were studied and used greatly for the first several hundred years of our Country. almost all of our schools of higher education were founded by Christians. It is the casting off of creation that has caused all the disunity in the sciences. The ultimate science is true knowledge and only God has that. So the casting away of the only "eye witness" to take the word of man who seeks to demonstrate what happened over time without the advantage of having that time. All of the sciences make perfect sense with a creationist viewpoint. Note: it is science that has changed over and over, correcting itself not the Biblical view which has remained the same.
The creationist seeks to establish science, real and true science, as this always gives Glory to God.
