I study global warming and climate change every day - at least every working day and try to eductae people by separating fact from fiction. A few days ago I addressed 2000 people and spoke about the future effects of climate change and systems that can be introduced to combat climate change. Afterwards many people said it had changed their perspective so I beleive it did some good.
Now, this isn't practical for most people but some simple steps we can all take include using CFL bulbs, avoid taking unnecessary car journeys, recycle, reuse where possible and reduce our demand on fossil fuels and other primary resources.
Here's some ideas that have been adapted from something I wrote a while back and have been uploaded as a website. There's simple steps we can all take - http://profend.com/global-warming/pages/combat.html

hey hate to break it to u but global warming doesnt exist...
they created the therey of globall warming for people that do not belive in God and have no religion. So they wonder how the earth will get destroyed. But in the bible it does say God will destroy the earth but those who belive shall live in heaven and have eternal life... those who do not belive shall burn in.....
Global warming is suppose to be the earth is warming up and all the ice will melt and flood the earth. But the bible does say God will never flood the earth agian that is what the rainbow represents.
Even if global warming did exist we did not cuz it. because it is also getting warmer on mars... did we cause that too? NO

Well I'm glad you all like to use less fossil fuels which is always good, but everything that we don't use China well sad to say :( also if man kind stopped using energy all together tomorrow, I really doubt that Global warming would stop, but its always nice to help the environment by cleaning up after yourself ie don't litter, and recycling is never a bad thing :)

While I beleive in doing sensible things for the environment such as limiting pollution of waterways and such, I cannot subscibe to the theory of man made global warming. There is far too much evidence out there that disputes it and thousands of scientist who do as well include many that worked on the IPCC report who state that their research and contributions conclude the exact opposite of what the politically driven summary says.

oh yes my brainwashed yahoo user. you like many others now are consumed with global warming , racism issues, celebrities, and anything people like al gore says while he hops around on his smoke spewing jet telling you. you all are a bunch of sheep off to the slaughter lead by the propaganda machine. As if the normal everyday american is not trying to save gas. when the current infrasturcture changes to meet the needs of todays society I guess we have what we have. we all save in some way but you can only do so much when our whole system is built on consumption of something.
