Sterling will end up in the Craftsman Truck series like many old Drivers past their prime. He was a great Driver but his time has gone and past long ago.
I wish Sterling all the best at whatever he chooses to do.

Along with Earnhardt Sr. Sterling and Rudd are two of my all time favs... Sterling can't get good enough equipment lately to stay out of the wrecks at the back. The end seems near, but I'm guessing he could have a good run or two at a major track, leave NASCAR on a high note, but who knows, he has been doing it so long, I can see him wanting to run Saturday night modifieds forever.

It's sad to see Sterling Marlin get his walking papers from Ginn when that piece of crap Joe Nemechek still has a ride.

He and Ricky Rudd are the only guys left from when I started following the sport. I'd hate to see him go, he kinda brings an old school flare to the sport with some of the other good ol' boys.
Well, I guess we all have to retire sometime.

He hasn't been the same physically since the wreck that took him out of the championship hunt several years ago. He can get hot-rods into the show, so he will still be a good "second" driver on a mid-level team. over the next year or so

This may be the end of the trail for Sterling. He may get a truck ride or just spend time with the grand children.
Thanks for the memories Sterling.

I've met him, and he is a nice guy, but the sport has passed him by. Hopefully, he has the sense to retire and not turn into Derrike Cope or Morgan Shepherd, trying to qualify when they are decades past their prime. I could see him as a commentator, though...

So is Joe Nemechek. I wonder where they will end up. They had a hard time getting sponsors.

Sterling seems to be out of it. Don't know if it's equipment, maybe he has lost the desire to drive.
