Is it true that guys don't call too often because they don't want to seem desprate? Is he excpecting her to call more first?

I hope that's not the case because I've always followed the rule of "let him call you. don't call him or you'll seem desperate".
No wonder I'm single... lol..

I don't call cause I think she is safe. There is no need to keep calling and bugging people all the time for every little thing. To be blunt, I will call when I feel like the need but not when I think it is a like a chore - a to-do item. I am just not as needy-all the time. It does not mean that I do not care though so don't take it the wrong way. If I don't care, then I will never call.

We don't call because we hate talking on the phone when it's so much better to do the communicating face to face. Also, we don't call "too often" because it's usually not that necessary. If there's something you need to talk about with him, give him a call. Other than that, he'll talk to you when he sees ya!
And to the answer below about guys giving each other advice, we don't do that because we don't need advice on who, what, when, where and how much to do as much as females do. I don't know where you bought that "ALL GUYS ARE EXACTLY ALIKE" owners manual, but you need to go get your money back.

I think most guys give each other advise and generally its bad advise. They usually try and wait a few days maybe 2-3 b/f they call after a first date, and yes I think its b/c they don't want to seem desperate.

hey I am married now...but I HATED games...if I call you the next day...wasn't that the POINT of you giving me the number in the first place??? before i got married..i get a number..i am calling..i didn't get a lot of numbers anyway..why waste an opportunity because of some lame game?
all that high school and college drama...ooooh don't call her yet...she'll think you can't get anyone else...
or hey idiot..she gave me the number...i think..call me dumb...SHE DOESN'T WANT me to find someone else...or she wouldn't give me her number!!!!
now..if I hassled her and she gave me a #...well it is probably false...but..if she gave it and wanted to...I am calling!

I just don't like talking on the phone and it has nothing to do with who is on the other end. If at all possible, I would rather talk in person.

some will call and some wont. with some women i would call often and others i wont, there is no stereotype on this one, it depends on the relationship........and how badly i want to see/talk/enjoy that person again.
