I only have 256MB RAM so it shouldn't be too heavy on the Ram. I already have PDFcreator, is there a better choice?

I have PDF Creator 3 which is pretty good, however, there is a free online converter at www.media-convert.com.
It does a good job - but does have limitations. I tried to convert a 33mb file and only 3/4 of it converted -- but that was an exceptionally large file.
Try it.

it depends on what you use it for. Have you thought of a PDF printer produce your files in any programme word, excel PowerPoint anything you can print send to the PDF printer which changes the prin out put to a PDF file. I use cute PDF printer all the time and its free
