My mom has a lump in her left breast but her lymph nodes are swollen and painful in her right breast. When i look up this on the internet it only says the lymph node is supposed to be swollen in the sae breast as the lump/cancer. She is supposed to have a biopsy in 2 weeks. She has a lump the size of a golf ball but the lump is not painful at all. Is this normal?
Does the cancer actulley hurt or not? What else can the lup be? I need help and support!

i have a different form of cancer(bladder) but one good support site i found is www.careplace.com. it is a friendly site for people, and supporters of those, with different conditions who will share their stories and answer questions. best wishes and prayers to you and your mom.

Cancer can hurt or it can not hurt. Try to move the appointment up to an earlier date so that you know exactly what you are dealing with. Was an ultrasound done to show if the lump is solid/not?

cancer lumps in the breast don't always hurt, but mine did. I wish your mother well and a speedy diagnosis. The waiting for this test and that test really is agonizing.

If it's not cancer it may just be cysts. Or maybe an infected one. My doctor has me on Iodoral to dissovle my ovarian cysts and it also dissovles breast tumors and cysts. Look in to it....

www.breastcancerchoices.org has research...etc. and that's where I get my Iodoral.

I will be thinking about you... :) My Mom's breast cancer didn't hurt her.
