Rowling is a good writer. Her stories are imaginative, fast paced, clever, witty, thought provoking and emotionally uplifting. Harry is an everyman sort of character that people can relate to. There's nothing wrong with people, adults or children who enjoy the Harry Potter books and movies. I am not caught up in the hype. The first Potter book I read was one a friend brought me from England before it was published in the US. At the time I had no idea it would become a best seller. I just thought it was a good book that was written to appeal to children but was intelligent enough for adults as well.

.... Harry Potter fans are not demons. That's just plain stupid. Being a fan of all things mentioned above, I can say with a fair amount of confidence that I am neither a demon or a mega-goober. If you actually believe that, then you obviously have never tried actually cracking open one of the books.

I did answer your other question about Harry Potter books and it was a good question to ask. I just get tired of all the Harry Potter hysteria---I just think it has been blown way out of proportion. I didn't mean to sound harsh---and I'm not even that big a fan of the books. Our granddaughter likes them and I don't see anything wrong with her reading them. Sorry you got hateful answers--some people can be so gooder-ish.

I'm a big kid and I don't let adulthood stand in the way of my imagination. Too bad so many people do.
Some adults will think it's evil because of what is in it, some like myself see the good qualities the movie & books have. There is true friendship, learning to work together to achieve common goals, sticking together through thick and thin. All good qualities that human beings - adults or children - need to learn.

Definitely not demons. Some of us just like to read some fiction that requires imagination every now and then. Ask people who read the Bible...they do the same thing.

Are all that believe in the bible demons? Or are they just ignorant? I can see little kids believing in it and later finding out that it has no proof! Its hard to believe in something that is only on "faith", it has no proof either!

Neither. I just like the action and comedy and drama and the way it all works out. I don't have to like witch craft or be a freak to like a good movie!
