When I ate beef I used to catch bad colds every single winter, & the flu at least once. Since I stopped eating beef I've only had 1 cold the last 5 years & it was mild-NO LIE. Beef cloggs up your system & breaks down your immune system.

But I don't suggest to stop eating it cold turkey:-), just eat less & less each week & try to quit over a 2-3 month period. Your're going to have cravings for pork & beef like you're trying to quit crack or something!!! When you smell it cooking your mind is going to think things like, "Well a lil piece won't hurt", or "I've done pretty good so far, so I can treat myself". Then you start making excuses all the time so just go s l o w l y.

Not eating meat is actually bad for you because there are things in meat that we need and our bodies are designed to eat meat so we need it to help our bodies in that way. People that are vegan and don't eat properly are often VERY unhealthy because they are missing major parts of their diet. I couldn't go a day without eating meat. I stopped eating meat once for a week(I was visiting vegitarian friends) and I felt HORRIBLE. I was weak, tired, grumpy, gray looking when I looked in the mirror. I went and had a steak and I was happy! I was awake, happy, and the color was back in my face. I don't know how people can not eat meat!

I am told vegans are some of the healthiest people alive. My nephew stopped eating meat and meat products and says he feels 100% better. From what I'm told... meat is not good for us anyway.

The only time I have been able to tell is if I am not careful to get enough protein - then I can tell; otherwise I cannot tell. I am talking about seeing a difference in an adverse way. In a postive way I can usually tell in a couple of days. I don't crave sweets, have been shhhh bathroom habits, etc.

I first stopped eating meat right after the first time I ate meat. Then from then on, every time I would eat meat, when I got finished, I would stop eating meat. Until the next time I eat meat.
So to answer your question, "how did I feel?", I would have to say that I felt full. As in not hungry any more.

I have been vegan and vegetarian from a young age... vegetarian people are generally slimmer and better comlexioned. Also, it makes me feel good knowing I am doing a small part to help the animals/enviroment... good luck :]
