Is this still true, is it fixable, because when I want to download a book from the library it sucks that the ipod is pretty much the only device I can't transfer it to.

yea its called drm, u need to buy media from the itunes store to play it on an ipod. it is not fixible, without striping off the drm which is illegal. they never will support windows media file types.

.wma and .wmv are proprietary microsoft formats, so my guess is that it would still apply - especially if they're protected from being copied, for obvious reasons.
