if you get a root canal, you will later on either have to get it pulled or get a veneer. if you get it pulled its your choice if you want to get a new one if you get it pulled. but if you get a root canal, you will have your tooth for longer, but over the course of about 8 or 9 years you tooth will begin to have some discoloration because its roting (since the root of the tooth was removed which means its dead and dead things rot). I had a root canal on my front tooth when i was about 12 or 13 and I'm 18 now and the discoloration is kind of noticeable. in a few years here i am going to get a veneer. Preferably i think a root canal is the way to go. It's almost 100% painless and there is no healing process. If your tooth was pulled it would take a while to heal. If you tooth is in the back of your mouth, i would get it pulled. root canals are mainly for the front teeth.
hope that helps!

If you get a root canal by an endodontist (who specializes in root canals) there is little to no pain involved. I would definately go with the root canal. As for how much it costs... It depends on if you have insurance or not. Without it usually costs approximately $800.

Root Canal definitely. If you have it pulled, and it was located in between teeth, you may have to get a dental bridge put in and that may be more expensive than the cost of the root canal. Or if this is a back molar, a dental implant, which also is quite pricey.

Only have it pulled if the tooth is determined and confirmed by your dentist as hopeless.

Your gums will shrink and change without the tooth there which may affect the other teeth.
Root canal is expensive and can be painful but with injections to control the pain you should be O.K.
I've had root canal and happy with the result.

Depends on how much money you want to part with. A root canal is going to cost a LOT more than a simple extraction.

You should research this thoroughly before making a decision. Most will say you should save your natural teeth if at all possible. If money becomes the issue, then get in touch with several root canal experts and talk to their office personnel about making payment arrangements, such as a monthly payment you can manage.

Root canal! Pulling should be a last resort.

Depends if your dentist is good at doing root canals. If not, get it pulled and save yourself the trouble.
