Are you eight?

We build machines that look into the brain - and they save hundreds of lives every day.

We know the brain is the organ used for thinking, and we know we think.

Is there any machine that can let us see this magical being you talk about?

Your question is like saying:
" i am guessing you dont believe in GOBLINS because you havent seen them ...but let me ask you have you seen your brain?? no you havent , you just believe that you have a brain. Can you see the air that you breath ?? no u cant ..u just believe that beacause thats what they teach us..same way we havent seen GOBLINS but we BELIEVE .. GET IT ??"

It makes exactly as much sense as your question.

No, I have not seen my brain, but I have seen my heart and liver, as I had some surgery done and the doctor photographed them for me. It was pretty cool. I do know because of extremely basic anatomy that I do have a brain. If I ever have surgery there I hope the doctor will photograph that also.

Hon, you need to learn to use your. Let me give you some advice. If you want to ask serious questions do some research, learn to spell and do us the common courtesy of using complete sentences. Its very hard to take someone like you seriously.

no, i don't get it.

air can be 'seen' under the right conditions. it's a compressible gas. you can cool it until you get liquids condensing. there are ways to investigate the molecular structure of the various gases in air.

brain scans are regularly used in medicine. when they check for brain activity, no one has ever had a thought without corresponding brain activity. it would be extremely silly to suppose that a person manages to think with no brain.

please suggest JUST ONE way that god can be observed in the same sorts of ways that air and brains can.

I can see my brain on a CAT scan.. I can see the air we breath by placing a cup inverted in water then turning it over and watching the bubbles of air rise..

Would you like to try another argument? Or are you gonna stick to this same old tired one?

I HAVE seen my brain, on several different tests, when I was having uncontrollable seizures.

I live in Sacramento. We can see the air quite frequently in the summertime, and even taste it sometimes.

Plus, since both are proven to be necessary for existence, and I exist, then I have proof that they exist. Your god is only necessary for the continued torment of my eternal soul. Therefore, not necessary to my existence.

Nice rant though.

As a person who believes very strongly in God, I think you're question is a bit too...harsh.

As theists (people who believe in a supreme being or force), we know that our beliefs are true and accurate and because of this, there is no need to get angry at those who disagree with us. Our message is true and important, but it may not come off that way if we get too defensive about it.

Nope. Sorry.

I haven't seen my brain but I have seen other brains. I have seen pictures. I have seen studies of what the brain does.

As for seeing air - You obviously don't live in Los Angeles. If you don't you can always try rolling down your window in the car and sticking your hand out and playing airplane.

But, I have not seen god and I don't even know any Orthodox Religious people who say that they have seen god.

There's more to detecting than seeing. I can demonstrate that my brain is there by a variety of techniques that do not involve opening my skull. The ancient Greeks were able to prove the existence of still air by elegant means. You are apparently 3,500 years behind the rest of the class.

You have got to be kidding me. Have you never seen a human brain? How about an animal brain? And no we cannot "see" the air we breath, but we can manipulate the atoms that are in it, so obviously its there.
