Yes...same am't of veggie oil as for melted butter (that's the way I do it...Enova Oil guaranteed by Good Housekeeping is better for the body...I swear by anything guaranteed by GH)...a low fat spread may also be used ( I like Brummel & Brown b/c of yogart content instead of so much fat)...

You can substitute Crisco for the butter. The cookie has a little bit different texture, but it would still taste fine.
