Gorgonzola IS blue cheese......just comes from Italy "Blue cheese" is a name that encompasses the entire family of blues:

Roquefort
Gorgonzola
Stilton
Maytag Blue (one of my faves)
Treasure Cave
Danish Blue

So, they're all blue cheeses, just from different strains of bacteria that are injected into the aging cheese while the cheese is still young......Enjoy!!!

Gorgonzola is a type of Blue cheese...actually green though (different type of mold), I prefer the Gorgonzola.

Rule of thumb
more foot smell=more flavor

It's Gorgonzola btw and I love blue cheese and aged blue cheddar but not when it's too strong of a flavour.
