It's the throwing in of the towel on the mysteries of life. It's saying, I can't make head or tail out of any of this ****, so I'll just go with what everyone is doing. If they're all getting down on their knees, eating a cookie and believing it's the body of Christ, then I will too. If they're all wrapping themselves in leather thongs, covering their heads with beanies, and rocking back and forth, that's what I'll do. If everybody else is bowing to Mecca six times a day, I guess that's what I must do, too. This is the behavior of lemmings following other lemmings off the edge of the cliff. There is absolutely no difference between praying to Jesus, praying to Jehovah, bowing to Mecca, or lighting incense to Krishna, than there is sieg heiling to Hitler, blindly following Pol Pot into the killing fields, or chopping up Tutsis with machetes. It's all called thoughtless behavior.

So you want to be the captain of your own ship with no regard for the Creator. Okay. Good luck to you.
You can call me whatever you want. I believe in the living God and in His son, Jesus Christ.

Somewhere you've been mis-informed. Christianity is just the oposite. It takes strength to maintain faith in a world where so much evil exist. Christians aren't lazy. It's hard work cooking food for the sick and visiting shut-ins; helping out at the church building and helping elderly people who can't do for themselves; teaching young people how to be a Christian (if for no other reason than to keep them out of jail.) And we'd better make heads and tails of all this. The Bible tells us to work out salvation for ourselves with fear and trembling. Following everyone else ain't gonna get it. Christians have to read the Bible, study, pray, and interact with other Christians to discover God's will for themselves. God doesn't lead us into the killing fields, but if we're there, He'll be with us.

No not all religions are thoughtless behavior. Only one has a Son of God who died for our sins so that we could fellowship with Him. Because you accept Christ as savior does not lessen any burdens in life but it does give you eternal peace in knowing that when this life is over you will be with the one true God who loved you enough to send His Son to die for you. You are right about one thing if you are not a Christian then praying to God or His Son or any other god you chose will not help you.

Your question shows that you have a lot to learn about religion and especially Christianity.
There are fundamental differences the religions you used to make a gross and inaccurate generalization.
Spend some time reading.
I would recommend you start with the writings of Jonathon Edwards, Charles Spurgeon, Charles Finney, A.W. Tozer, C.S. Lewis.
The works of these men demonstrate nothing of the weakness and laziness that leads to a question such as yours.

In response to the hate monger Rev Kip:
A cult is a set of beliefs and practices generally held by a community, involving adherence to codified beliefs and rituals and study of ancestral or cultural traditions, writings, history, and mythology, as well as personal faith and mystic experience. The term "cult" refers to both the personal practices related to communal faith and to group rituals and communication stemming from shared conviction.
As for the question, yeah that's about right.

NO, it isn't.
Look at this list of famous scientists who believe.
You need to do some research before you make wild statements liks this.
Guess what? Those of us who are religious love God (or gods.)
We worship because we want to. We worship in different ways.
You are obviously grossly misinformed.
YOU are the one who is behaving thoughtlessly.

In your OPINION.
I don't agree with you. I chose Christianity completely away from other Christians. Most of my friends are not Christians.

Not all religions require blind followers of sheeple. Paganism, for example, requires its followers to find their own beliefs, for which they are responsible.
