If you are talking about print dimensions, 48 x 72 is already an ungainly size, hard to work with. Standard print sizes have evolved to be 36 x 48 or 34 x 44. Back to 48 x 72, if you have a work table 36" high, 48" can be a really uncomfortable stretch for most people to scale off the upper parts of the drawing.
