If the sores are many in number, it may be herpetic in nature. In which case, Valtrex (2 g.) taken at the onset and then again 12 hours later will help them go away very quickly. Your dentist or doctor can prescribe that for you. If it's one or maybe two round lesions with a white cratered-out center and a well defined red border, it's most likely an apthous ulcer. The cause of those is unknown. It could be from some kind of trauma like biting yourself or scraping the area with a chip or something or maybe just from stress. In that case, then there is a great caudery agent called Debacterol. Bad thing is that it is only sold through dental offices. It burns for about 10 seconds and then the pain goes away. It's sealed over and feels great. The best part is that it doesn't burn the surrounding tissue.
The ulcers could also be from a food allergy or from something acidic. Try to figure out the pattern and treat the symptoms accordingly.

i have the same problem. there are many causes as well as many solutions. one reason could be you are eating/drinking to much acid such as anything that relates to oranges, pineapples...ect. these can cause sores and continually eating/drinking them can keep them open. also, it could be your bodies way of getting a virus, instead of getting the flu, you get sores. in the case you just have to wait them out. there are many home remedies i have heard you can try some of these:
*burning them with salt (continually for 1-3 days)(this is pain ful but shortens their length)
*swishing with antiacid(the kind u dring when you have a stomach ache)
*puuting hydrogen peroxide on the to clean then out
*over the counter meds like kanka, orajel(my favorite because it is an easy to apply gel rather that a liquid)
*you can also use abreva to shorten the length
hope that is helpful!

sounds like you have herpes. i suggest you go to a doctor immediately. of course there is no cure for herpes im sure you know that. bet you have a sore mouth. maybe what you did to get the sores learned you a lesson you shouldn't put your mouth on such dirty things if you know what i mean.
