they will need official transcripts anyhow. usually you have to call the school and request that the transcripts be mailed directly to the recipient (in your case the military).

I have seen this situation a hundred times. If you lost your diploma, then I will go to your school and pull an official copy of your high school transcripts. On it will usually be the date you graduated. For some jobs we are actually required to have a copy of your high school transcripts to determine if you are eligible for that specific job. Don't worry, it's not that big of a deal.

They will require confirmation that you graduated. They typically will use a diploma as proof until they get your official high school transcript. The transcript is THE only official documentation that you graduated.

you're school should have a transcript. you can call and request a copy be sent to your recruiter. talk to the recruiter though; he or she might be able to do that for free.
