al-Dajjal sometimes spelled Dajal, (Arabic: الدّجّال, al-dajjāl) ("The Deceiver/impostor"), also known as the false Messiah (see also: Antichrist) is an evil figure in Islamic eschatology, who will appear before Yawm al-Qiyamah (The Day of Resurrection, Judgement Day).

"Dajjal"(compare to "Devil") is a common Arabic word, used in the sense of "false prophet", but "Al-Dajjal", with the definite article, refers to "The Impostor", a specific end-of time deceiver. It is worthy to note that the term Al-Masih Ad-Dajjal (Arabic for "The False Messiah") is a literal translation of the Syriac term "Meshiha Deghala", which had been in the common vocabulary of the Middle East and adapted into the Arabic language 400 years prior to the Qur'an via the Peshitta (which uses that term instead of the Greek "antichristos")[citation needed].

The belief is based around the events prior to the day of judgement around the Second Coming of Christ, when Dajjal shall gather an army of those he has deceived and lead them in a war against Jesus, who shall be accompanied by an army of the righteous.

"Gog" and "Magog" redirect here. For other uses, see Gog (disambiguation) and Magog (disambiguation).
The tradition of Gog and Magog begins in the Hebrew Bible with the reference to Magog, son of Japheth, in the Book of Genesis and continues in cryptic prophecies in the Book of Ezekiel, which are echoed in the Book of Revelation and in the Qur'an. The tradition is very ambiguous with even the very nature of the entities differing between sources. They are variously presented as men, supernatural beings (giants or demons), national groups, or lands. Gog and Magog occur widely in mythology and folklore

John wrote that the spirit of anti-christ was in the world nearly 2000 years ago. But the guy who's going to rule the world is described in Rev. and Daniel as a guy who will promise peace, and deliver it temporarily. He will rebuild the temple in Jerusalem, then desecrate it and want to kill all Jews. Gog and Magog are thought to be Russia or central asians states who unite with other muslim countries in a failed attack against Israel (Ezekiel 38-39).
