No, genetics are what mostly accounts for a person's metabolism. Outside of genetics, eating habits and exercise habits can determine metabolism.

Well I have a daughter who is 19 and hardly eats at all and is only 5 foot. I have a son who is 14 loves his food and is 5 foot 11 inches

your height can be contributed to your thyroid and so can your metabolism. but it's probably just genetics
