Kadface your acne is not caused by eating badly, but from hormones. In a way you can at least be grateful that your face isn't badly affected! It isn't much consolation though, I know.
It is also very unlikely to be caused by bad hygiene. Not washing properly will make acne worse, but you would have to be pretty filthy to actually cause it in this way.
If we had a normal summer I would recommend a few good doses of sunlight (yes everyone talks about skin cancer but we mustn't forget that the sun has good effects too!) but even then the effect is as temporary as the sunshine more or less!
I think for the sake of your confidence it would be good to contact your GP, who may prescribe one of a number of things. Obviously topical stuff may be difficult with the main problem being on your back, so he/she might prescribe something oral, quite possibly antibiotics.
Please be patient with whatever treatment you get, it can take nearly a month for results to even start to show, but in 2 or 3 months the difference can be amazing.
Good luck!

It sounds like you suffer with achne and both my daughters did and one still does at 22 she has tried all sorts and in the end best thing has been this.
1: Shower ever day using a none perfume product
2:For face cleanse tone and moisture every day even if you are male as it cleans out the pours.
3:buy a steamer for face if you cant afford one do as my daughter did before she could buy one. Boil a kettle and pour the boiling water in to a bowl. Place your head over it using a towel to cover your head and bowl no steam to get out. Be careful you do not dip right over bowel do not want you burnt but this method is free and will open all those pours. Then cleanse skin and see the grim come off.
4: Drink at leasy eight glasses of water per day water detox the skin and helps cleanse it inside out.
5: Go to your doctor as they may give you or suggest some cream my daughter uses aone that she places on her face leaves for 15 mins then washes off.
To be honest I think it is your age and hormones and in time it may settle down but keep skin clean and drink lots of water is truly the best answer I can give.

Hi,
You really don't want to use creams on your back. Backs are very prone to spots, basically because we can't reach properly to keep them in tip top condition.
You can get one of those scrunchy nylon netting exfoliators on a long handle from most chemists or pharmacy chains. These are great for scrubbing all the places that are hard to reach. Also you could try either an exfoliating shower gel or one for oily skins / medicated. Sanex is excellent as it is Ph balanced, and anti bacterial.
Eating more fruit and vegetables, and drinking plenty of water will help too.

Try a body brush for your back so you can exfoliate. If they are large bumps, like a bedsore, its an infection at the root of the hair folical. My boyfriend gets them all the time. I try to get him to use the body exfoliater but he says its girly. lol
Are you of hispanic origin? I live in a predominately hispanic area and I've noticed that with my friends, they are constantly complaining about that on their backs and yet their face is completely clear or mostly clear. Perhaps it is a racial thing? I'm not sure. I don't mean that to sound bad but thats my observation :)

Too many posibibilities for what the spots may be caused by or may even be normal for your skin. See a dermatologist if you are concerned. That's the best advice and thing to do for piece of mind.

Chill out my friend!! I don't mean this in a patronising way but your only 16! your suppose to be spotty! you growing up!
In time they will clear up. all them scars will go and you'll forget just how bad it ever was. Trust me. I'm 25 now but from 14-20 my skin was awful. i hated them spots just like you do. tried all the soaps, creams, black magic, prayer, all sorts and nothing but time actually worked. Don't get stressed. they'll disappear quicker than they arrived

Do your spots show up mostly after you've been out in the sun? It is very possible that you have excema. While the condition itself is untreatable, the symptoms are treatable. I know it doesn't make too much sense, but knowing what you have is half the scare. If you have a blacklight, excema shows up orange on your skin. Try it.
