You need to purchase a shampoo that contains tea tree oil. this will do the trick. you will have to go to a professional salon to buy it, unless youre licensed, and can go directly to the beauty supply store. I know that Paul Mitchell and CREW both make one. And yes they will definately be more expensive then head and shoulders................but ya get what ya pay for!!!!!!!!

First, are you sure that it is just dandruff and not some other type of skin problem? Such as seboreah (sp) or eczema?
If it is just sort or like tiny particles then it is probably dandruff, but if you can feel it on your scalp then it is probably one of the others. Try T-Gel shampoo or a shampoo with coal tar. Or a shampoo with Tree Tea Oil. Do not over wash your hair, drying out the scalp can actually aggravate any of these conditions. When it doubt see a dermatologist.

Dandruff is actually a fungus that breeds on oil. The idea of Head and Shoulders is to use Sodium Chloride (salt solution) to absorb the oil but it only leaves your hair dry and your scalp flaky. You best bet is to use a shampoo containing Tea Tree Oil that fights the Dandruff fungus and moisturizes the hair and scalp as well. A good product is Parnevu Tea Tree Shampoo it works really well and can be found at your local Wal-Mart.
I hope this helped : )

Head and Shoulders doesnt just make dandruff shampoo it also can make oily hair unoily. Theres a chance you were using it to make your hair un oily. Go back and check your head and shoulders. You could have been buying the wrong thing. Go back to where ever you buy your shampoo and get the one for dandruff. I had the same problem except for I had oily hair and I was using the dandruff shampoo

Give Head and Shoulders another try...the thing is, it takes longer than one shampooing to see results. Keep at it for two weeks. If you see no results whatsoever within this time period, then you need to see a dermatologist for instructions and advice. Another site you could go to for lots of info is webmd.com. That could offer some great advice for you!!

well..throw your head & shoulders in the garbage.:) for starters. when you wash your hair you need to massage your scalp for a few minutes with your fingertips, and you need to brush your hair b.c dandruff is mainly caused by poor circulation as well as poor diet ..i used suave years ago n it dried my scalp out it sucked..now i use biosilk..just massage your scalp & brush your hair even if your hair is short.
