I just moved into an apartment and I think my cabinets are so ugly! But I can't change them or paint them or anything. Was thinking about hanging pretty pictures on the cabinet dorrs to at least cover up some of it... any ideas?? THANK YOU!

Most pre-pasted wallpapers are fairly easy to peel off. You could cover with that, then when you move just peel it off and wipe down to remove any left behind glue. Cabinets would need to be grease free for it to stick well. I think cutting to slightly smaller than front of door would be easiest with wall paper. I have done as someone else suggested and used fabric. Although it was a bathroom vanity, it would be same concept. I just cut rectangles of fabric large enough so that I had 4 or 5 inches showing on all 4 sides. Then I pulled tight(do corners last, fold neatly), and used a staple gun to staple to backside of doors. I then took a piece about the same size as the door, folded all four edges under, ironed it and stapled it to cover the inside nicely. It takes some time to take down the doors, take off hinges etc, but it looked great. In fact, it was still on the vanity when we sold the house, but all I would have done was pull the staples to remove it. I coordinated the room by covering the wood on a framed mirror with same fabric and shower curtain was a solid color matching the printed fabric. Maybe you could find something to match any curtains you might have in the room? Look for $1 a yard fabrics or marked down flat sheets to help save money! Hope that helps and you have lots of fun finding many ways to do removable remodeling projects.

You can take the doors off and find some curtains (or make them) put one of those spring rods up and put the curtains up in place of the doors. Then when you move, you can put the ugly doors back on and no one will be the wiser.

1] find a cheap fabric you like, and cover all the doors with it.
staple or pin fabric to itself on the back.
2] make curtains or valence of same fabric, and runner or placemats too.

Get decals.. or there is this other item out there in hobby stores you can use. You can stick them on but they are easily removeable and I can't remember their name but I got them at Michael's.
