It would take as you said, proof that Jesus didn't rise from death. If this was the case, then everything the Bible is based on would be false.

God Bless you...
First off, I think your position in untenable...if the Jews of the first century couldn't provide incontrovertible proof of Jesus's body in the grave, how do we do that now? We have no way to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that any grave would be His...Anyone at that point of history could have created a grave that said "Jesus--King of the Jews" or something similar, and if it was discovered now would not be proof that it was truely His grave.
The very fact that none of the Jewish leadership at that time could provide a body, or could say with conviction that "His body was stolen and we know where it was taken" helps to prove that the resurrection happened. Take that along with the fact that the disciples went from hiding in fear of their lives to within a few days loudly proclaiming the resurrection, even to the point of death, screams the fact that they truly believed what they preached--that is, Christ crucified and risen. If Christ had not risen, why would they have gone to their deaths proclaiming Him? Remember, they went to GRUESOME, horrible deaths, the most of them.
It would take almost an insurmountable amount of evidence to disprove the resurrection. The fact that it is documented, that over 500 saw Him at one time, and the change in the apostles after they saw Him testifies to it's veracity. The icing on the cake is that none of the Jewish or Roman authorities could step forward and say "He did not rise, here is his body!!!!" Just as Judas betrayed Christ when He was alive, if His death had been permanent, someone would have sold out. NOBODY DID!
So the burden is on you. What does it take to believe in the resurrection that has not already been provided--eyewitness accounts, the change in the apostles, and the lack of refuting proof...what more do you need? In a court of law, that would be a slam dunk.

For the second question, it would depend on if you believe Jesus' body rose to heaven, or if only his soul went up. If you believe the gnostic texts, or if you believe the New Testament versions of his death. IF a grave was discovered and it was irrefutably proved to be the Jesus, the Messiah, then I believe that most people would then say that only his soul rose. Which would mean then that when we die, our souls go to be with God, and there will be no bodily resurrection, just a soul-ly one.
As to the first, that is a belief based on faith. You either believe, have questions, or don't.

People have been trying to prove Jesus has not risen fromt he grave for more then a few years. But in fact in would be doughtful that you could even prove it was his grave.
Has it ever occured to you that people know Jesus in this present day. He is not dead. He is alive. Millions know him.
Millions speak with him daily and hear his voice. The body is not the person. The person is made up of spirit soul and body. And Jesus is indeed the Son of God and he is fully God also.
As far as evidence to make me not believe in Jesus you could never produce any. Fact is Jesus healed every person he encountered. He did more mericals then all the prophet combined and he indeed is Lord God almighty in the flesh.
He did die as both history and the bible support. And they also support his raising from death. And was witnessed by 500 who knew him and by thousands who did not.
The bible is only a small part of that record. There are vast amounts of evidence to support that he is indeed the savoir and the son of God.

I would be convinced if two things happened:
1. The Messiah returned for the second time and his name was not Jesus.
2. If God himself told me. But fortunately, His book says quite plainly that Jesus is his son.
Finally, there is NO WAY that the grave of Jesus could be discovered because we do not have God's DNA to test by. The closest they could come is proving that the grave of someone named Jesus (a very common name) was the son of some woman named Mary (also a very common name).

An angel of Satan might appear, but I would not accept his witness, no matter how splendid or sweet his words. (He might say he was Gabriel, Michael or Moroni or whatever.)
Actually the Holy Spirit is greater than any angel anyway, and I received the gift of the Holy Spirit having believed Jesus was the Son of God. If it was some kind of blasphemy God would not have responded that way, and I never encountered God in a real way (wasn't really genuinely interested anyway) before believing in Jesus the Anointed One.
Given Jesus is who He is they aren't going to find a grave with bones. You could try and fake it I suppose, but people would see through the fake. So live on in blindness if you like.

Well theres been a few dozen "graves of Jesus" found and none of them have convinced me. I cant say NOTHING would convince me but it would have to be more than what has already been alleged. I've heard a lot of arguments against Jesus being the Son of God, and have read and viewed a lot of "evidence" against Jesus as well. I can only say none have been convincing enough.

If that happened then I would completely renounce my faith in him.
Many have tried to claim this though, and none of them have been able to even come close to proving it. The latest "discovery" by James Cameron was just a re-kindling of a grave that was discovered and de-bunked back in 1980.
If I knew for sure that Jesus was not God and that he was dead and still buried...I wouldn't be a Christian anymore.
I'm not worried, though.

Nothing is my answer. I don't have to worry about "irrefutable proof because by faith I believe and know Jesus is the Son of God.
Some things you have to see to believe (such as in your case) and others you have to believe to see. I am not unwilling to see, as I see the work and power of Jesus's word everywhere. Maybe You are the one who is so blind he cannot see! (Or maybe you think there should be some physical of scientific explanation for everything?) Let me ask you, what has man ever created? Man has only taken something that was already here, created by God, and adapted it to another use. Man has never created anything.

Of course I could just ask you what would convince you that He was. But, I would bet your answer would equal that of some of the Christian answers here. When I die I will not be disappointed. Because if I am wrong then there is "Nothing" to worry about. But if the Atheist are wrong well... Now I am not saying to choose this as a fail safe because that does not work. I am just saying what would compel me to abandon my Faith? An Atheists Nothing?

The validity of the question lays on the word "IF" which precludes only an ASSUMPTION, of which we could spent the rest of our lives deluding ourselves with everything which isn't "real....."
Not having anyone who has ever FOUND a BODY which was that of Jesus, ( Believe me if there had been one, it would be SOMEWHERE being displayed for all to see, knowing our species), now being close to 2000 years "later" and KNOWING much of the sepulchres have been examined in the area looking for his body, there is a fair conclusive answer which states, there "isn't" one for mankind to "find."
