do a maintained workout(crunches, sit ups, jogging), but also a maintained diet(good amounts of food).

Do not lose your appetite because that would hurt you

Becoming toned may cause you to gain weight. You will lose fat but gain muscle, which weighs more than fat. However, if you are more muscular, your metabolism will be higher and you will burn more calories just sitting around!

Please do not use your weight as a guideline for whether you are fit. Assess your fitness by your increased energy, how well your clothes fit, and how firm you are. Weight is a useful general guideline, but for a true athlete weight is just numbers on a scale.

Try some of these fun "how fit am I" assessments:

And regarding jogging--cheap jogging shoes are cheap because they're cheaply made! Invest in a good pair. Expect to spend close to $100. I spent $120 on my jogging shoes.

I actually started using products from Herbalife, a weight managing company. There are various ways of losing, gaining or maintaining weight from this company. My friend recommend this to me after he lost 30 pounds in two months. I haven't lost that many(like 5 pounds) but it's my 2 week. If you have any question feel free to contact me. You can find out more at www.herbalife.com

jogging will make you lose weight and crunches will make you gain muscles (abs) so your belly will look bigger (if you have some fat on it) or more defined (if you have low body fat percentage and no layer of fat on top of abs)
pilates is your best bet - it will tone you without gaining much muscle or losing weight

try pilates... it doesn't make you gain or loose weight. Depending on how much body fat you have you might consider gaining muscle :)

try a light-weight (5lb) routine or try a yoga class or tape. no muscle building involved
